Tips for make balance work and home life

Set Priorities and Choices

It may seem difficult to achieve that work-life balance, with so much to be done and so little time. The primary thing is to make clear your priorities.

First, identify what’s most important in your life. This list will differ for everyone, so make sure it truly reflects your priorities, not someone else’s.

Next, draw firm boundaries so you can devote quality time to these high-priority people and activities.

Work-life balance is not a system of having your work and life take exactly the same amount of hours or focus.

It’s a way of making sure that both your work priorities and your personal priorities are being met. Sometimes that means more work hours, and other times it means less.

It is your choice to make your life smooth or keep it a constant struggle.

Your priority must be to plan your life keeping in mind the daily activities and responsibilities-both at home and in the office-and weave your long-term goals in between.

Check out the twenty-four hours you have, how many are actually productive? Start by determining what is important to you, and shift activities that are less important.

Things such as exercise, you work time, how long you take a break time, when spend time dinner with family, date nights with a spouse, when go hang-out with friend, when your rest time and more can quickly fall by the wayside if they aren’t purposefully scheduled.

Block out your calendar for important personal events, and you’ll find they happen as they should.

It can be tough to remember in the middle of a stressful business moment, but they’re just as important as any meeting.

You must know which ones are your priorities, so that your work-life balance can still run well.

In different areas of your life, which could include employees or colleagues at work, a spouse or a partner in a community project.

Find out what you can do to let go in ways that benefit other people by giving them opportunities to grow.

So instead of trying to do it all, focus on activities you specialize in and value most. Delegate or outsource everything else this can be a win-win situation.

This will give them a chance to learn something new and free you up so you may devote attention to your higher priorities.

Start small, build from there.

We’ve all have New Year’s resolutions end up we forget by February. It’s the same with work-life balance when we take on too much become too quickly end.

Many of people become workaholic, their commit to drastic changes. Cutting their hours from 80 hours a week to 40, bumping up their daily run from zero miles a day to five miles a day. It’s a recipe for failure.

Cut half away or do to much not good idea, start small. 80 hours to 70, if drop to much till 40 hours you will get the shock when check your saving.

5mil? after so long you never go run! Can you feel the pain? This bad for your muscle, 2-3mil for starter don't over doing.

Same as of you vowed to begin attending the meals nightly, start smaller. Began with one evening a week, if you worked on this eventually you will get way up to two to three dinners per week.

This mean of balance from small step before the biggest, get used to.

Manage your energy, not your time.

Every human being has natural energy cycles throughout the day.

If you think carefully about your own cycles, you’ll probably be able to pinpoint times when you usually feel more focused and productive, as well as times where you’d rather crawl into bed than spend another minute at the computer.

Instead of trying to schedule every minute of your time and push through your low-energy cycles, schedule your tasks according to your energy.

Do lower-energy administrative tasks when you’re in a lull, and more important work when you’re energized.

Work smarter, not harder

Adopting the right combination of time-management practices can cut stress and save you up to an hour a day.

Using time more efficiently is an important skill that everyone from the receptionist to the CEO can learn.

This can include the use of technology to become more organized, grouping emails and voice messages, avoiding procrastination and learning to say "no".

You have to plan when you'll leave the office from the beginning of the day. That means understanding what needs to get done for the day and getting it done first so you aren't scrambling after hours to finish up.

Also, block out the last 20 minutes before you plan to leave to wrap up loose ends, so you aren't trying to send "one more email" after you were already supposed to head out of the office.

If you start telling people you need to leave at a certain time, you’ll be much more likely to do so.

Make the commitment to yourself, and then share it with others. As you discuss plans and assignments throughout the day, tell your colleagues, “I’ve got to be out of here on time tonight, so if you need something, let me know by 3 PM".

Try this method one day, then another, and then the next. Eventually, you’ll retrain your colleagues to expect you to leave on time every day.

Limit time-wasting activities and people

From there, it will be easier to determine what needs to be trimmed from the schedule.

If email or internet surfing sends you into a time-wasting spiral, establish rules to keep you on task.

That may mean turning off email notifications and replying in batches during limited times each day.

If you’re mindlessly surfing Facebook or cat blogs when you should be getting work done, try using productivity software like Freedom, LeechBlock or RescueTime.

And if you find your time being gobbled up by less constructive people, find ways to diplomatically limit these interactions.

Cornered every morning by the office chatterbox? Politely excuse yourself. Drinks with the work gang the night before a busy, important day? Bow out and get a good night sleep.

Focus on the people and activities that reward you the most.

To some, this may seem selfish, but it isn’t selfish. It’s that whole airplane metaphor.

When it comes to being a good friend, spouse, parent or worker, the better you are yourself, the better you are going to be in all those areas as well.

Unplug

From telecommuting to programs that make work easier, technology has helped our lives in many ways. But it has also created expectations of constant accessibility.

The work day never seems to end, there are times when you should just shut your phone off and enjoy the moment, that phone notifications interrupt your off time and inject an undercurrent of stress in your system.

Avoid checking your emails and phone every few minutes, as those are major time-wasting tasks that derail your attention and productivity.

Structuring your day can increase productivity at work, which can result in more free time to relax outside of work.

So don’t text at your kid’s soccer game and don’t send work emails while you’re hanging out with family.

Make quality time true quality time by not reacting to the updates from work, you will developing a stronger habit of resilience.

Resilient people feel a greater sense of control over their lives, while reactive people have less control and are more prone to stress.

Schedule vacation time

Employees are often worried that taking time off will disrupt the workflow, and they will be met with a backlog of work when they return.

This fear should not restrict you from taking a much-needed break, but if big corporations can make vacation time happen, so how about you?

Whether your vacation consists of a one-day staycation or a two-week trip to Bali, it's important to take time off to physically and mentally recharge.

Remember, vacation time doesn’t have to involve a week-long tropical getaway, although if you can afford the expense and the time away from the office, that’s a great way to recharge.

Even a day away from the office can be enough to leave you feeling re-focused and refreshed.

If you’re so involved in your business you feel you really can’t be gone, even for a day, it’s time to learn to delegate.

Contrary to what you might believe, you aren’t the only one who can handle many of the tasks you currently spend time on.

Your team members will feel empowered if you shuffle additional responsibilities to them, and you’ll finally get to relax.

With proper planning, you can take time away without worrying about burdening your colleagues or contending with a huge workload when you return.

Final Thought

Work-life balance is less about dividing the hours in your day evenly between work and personal life and, instead, is more about having the flexibility to get things done in your professional life while still having time and energy to enjoy your personal life.

There may be some days where you work longer hours so you have time later in the week to enjoy other activities.

While it is important to embrace the change and grab the opportunity to be successful on this path, your success is not defined only by your advisory journey.

Identifying your strengths and working to add value to the community with your services is an essential task.

Also, you might have found a specialization for you that has a potential to grow, even if its local. If you are comfortable with your current scenario, then it is great.

Achieving that sweet balance of work and home life is simple if you take the right steps toward effective management.
