Fashion forecast use all field to gain the data

Fashion Forecasting is a study that focuses on current mode and predicts future and future trends.  Forecasters focus on certain key elements such as color, fabric, texture, print, graphics, etc.  To predict future trends related to the industry.  This applies to all fields of the fashion industry, be it street wear, ready-made clothing or other types.

What is Fashion Forecasting

Model trend forecasting uses the concept of gathering style ideas that are put together to bring up trends that appear to influence the fashion market.  This can be done by analyzing existing data to try to recognize upcoming trends.  Facts and figures along with buying and selling statistics from previous years are put together to find one influential trend.

2 types of Trend Forecasting Methods used: long-term estimates and short-term estimates.

1. Long-term forecasting is the process of analyzing and evaluating identifiable trends, searching by scanning various sources of information.

Fashion forecasting in terms of long-term forecasting lasts more than 2 years.  which predicts trends of five years or more, and focuses on the direction of the fashion industry with regard to materials, production design and retail.

When scanning markets and consumers, fashion forecasters follow a number of factors such as urban and suburban demographics, climate, major international incidents and examine their impact on retail and consumers due to the economy, shifts in the fashion industry along with market structures, political systems, environment, culture,  consumer expectations, etc.

greatly affect the forecasting of long-term fashion trends.  Long-term forecasting is generally carried out by specialized marketing consultants who have certain experience in their fields.

Long-term estimates contribute to the development strategy of fashion companies and help them make decisions regarding repositioning or expanding product lines, starting new businesses, and reviving brand image.

2. Short-term forecasting is also known as fashion forecasting focusing on current events both domestically and internationally as well as pop culture and even celebrity clothing.

To identify possible trends that can be communicated to specialized customers, especially in predicting changes about the future of fashion design.  Short-term forecasting, which envisions a trend of one to two years in the future and focuses on new product features such as colors, textiles.  This gives fashion a modern touch to the classic look that inspires our curiosity.

Some important areas to follow when scanning the environment are: current events, art, sports, science, and technology, some scientific changes also help in forecasting short-term fashion trends.  Short-term forecasting can also be considered prankster forecasting.

Why do you need to predict trends?

Estimated fashion trends are very important in the modern world of connectivity and accessibility.  Every brand and individual is looking for a 'busyness' style that will distinguish them from niche fashion markets.

Without true and certain predictions about the world of fashion, dress production can be hampered and thus the economy of certain companies can be reduced.  The company hires agents and subscribes to websites to be updated with the latest trends by investing a large amount into it.

Fashion forecasters have become a major part of the industry because they predict future demand for certain styles, fabrics and colors and also estimate future buying and selling figures.

Forecasting fashion trends is also very important from a company perspective, not only do predictions help in mass production but also they affect the overall image of the organization.  This helps brands, labels, and designers to plan and work towards their new collections that will be requested and sold in the consumer market.

Also, predicting future trends is a very important role.

Fashion forecasters are responsible for attracting consumers and helping retail businesses and designers sell their brands.  This requires a lot of curiosity and interest in a variety of subjects ranging from art and design.  Today, fashion industry workers rely on the Internet to retrieve information about new looks, hot colors, celebrity clothing, and designer collections.

Because of the transformation of styles and trends at a fast pace, business has been influenced in large part because large stocks are discarded and considered as trends.  Also, losses occur due to remaining unsold stock.

The fashion industry is not only limited to clothing, but can also be accessed by shoes, hair, makeup, accessories, textiles, colors, and bags.  Whether it's any fashion sector, the effect is the same.  Displaying upcoming trends on social media reduces sales of ongoing trends and increases demand for displayed trends, thus affecting business in general.

Each retailer's trend forecast varies and depends mainly on whether the company is a wholesale brand or a private label developer.  Larger companies have their own trend department where they follow styles, fabrics and colors for the coming season.

A company with its own trend department has a better edge than those who don't because the developers can work together to create a uniform look for their sales floor.  Each seasonal collection offered by a product developer is the result of trend research focused on a predetermined target market for himself.

Different from developers, traders have more experience in buying and have knowledge about what consumers are looking for.  The designer takes a certain trend and then determines the style, silhouette, and color for the lines and clothes while creating the overall theme for the particular season.
